Description

The KERN PKS is a versatile IoT-Line precision balance for demanding weighing tasks in laboratories, quality laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry.
It combines a wide range of functions with convenient operation and supports statistics, tolerance weighing, piece counting, density determination and many other practical applications.
Thanks to the extensive choice of variants with different dimensions and resolutions, the balance can be selected to suit the specific task.

For structured workflows, the balance offers internal memory for complete formulations with the name and target value of the recipe components.
The recipe function allows different components of a mixture to be weighed in precisely; recalculation is possible in the event of overdosing.
Display-supported user guidance makes operation easier even for more complex work processes.

Individual settings can be stored for up to 10 users, while access can be restricted for users who are not logged in.
The uniform KERN operating philosophy provides a consistent design, clear menu structure, familiar key functions and uniform interface connections and interface protocols across different products.

The KERN Universal Port (KUP) enables flexible exchange of data and control commands via several interfaces such as USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet according to the plug-and-play principle.
Using the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP), the balance can be queried and remotely controlled by external control devices or computers.
For applications requiring documentation, the balance supports GLP/ISO logging with date, time and ID number for balance adjustment or weighing procedures.

The USB host function allows USB keyboards or barcode scanners to be connected, for example for menu navigation or input of recipe data.
Additional data such as batch IDs can be entered quickly and conveniently so that weighing values can be assigned to specific batches or similar processes and documented traceably.
The CAL adjustment program is used to set accuracy; external test weights are available separately.
